The UW ENCODE Project aims to create high-quality, genome-wide catalogues of human and mouse DNaseI hypersensitive sites (DHSs) for all major cell and tissue types. DHSs mark diverse cis-regulatory elements including enhancers, promoters, silencers, insulators, and locus control regions.
